What the SEO AI Overview Analyzer measures

The SEO AI Overview Analyzer analyzes a public URL and turns observable page signals into an actionable report. Version 3 keeps three different questions separate: SEO Foundation, AI Search Readiness and Query Fit.

Real AI visibility is a fourth layer, but it cannot be inferred honestly from HTML alone. It requires external data about the actual presence of a page or brand in AI-powered search experiences.

SEO FoundationEvaluates observable technical and on-page foundations such as indexability, title, description, headings structure, accessible content, canonical signals and contextual internal links.
AI Search ReadinessMeasures technical eligibility, substance, clarity, evidence, trust, contextual links, technical semantics, freshness and visual support.
Query FitCompares the target query with the main content, key page locations and the estimated function of the page. Intent alone never grants an “AI score”.
Real AI VisibilityMeasures what actually happens outside the page: mentions, citations and representation in AI answers. This requires external observation data.
Transparent methodology

Methodology, sources and model responsibility

The SEO AI Overview Analyzer is developed and maintained by Web Marketing Aziendale (WMA), an Italian web marketing and AI marketing agency. The methodology does not replicate an official Google score: it translates observable on-page signals into a comparable diagnosis while explicitly separating what the tool cannot measure.

Model versionWMA v3.4.2. The scoring logic uses different weights for articles, service pages, tools and products.
CalibrationThe model was benchmarked across pages with different functions, content quality and freshness to reduce score saturation and obvious false positives.
Important limitationFreshness can detect that a volatile topic is old, but the tool cannot independently verify whether every factual statement is still true without external sources.
ResponsibilityScores are diagnostic indicators, not guarantees of ranking, indexing, AI Overview inclusion or citation by an AI system.

How the analysis works

The tool retrieves the public HTML, reads the page structure and builds a report without modifying the analyzed website. The result is not just a grade: it is a map of strengths, limitations and operational priorities.

1. URL retrieval and HTML parsing

The analyzer reads title, meta description, headingss, text, images, links, canonical tags, robots directives and structured data available on the public page.

2. On-page SEO analysis

It checks technical completeness, content hierarchy, query coverage, contextual internal linking and signals that influence discoverability, understanding and user experience.

3. AI Search Readiness and Query Fit

Readiness is independent from the query and evaluates observable on-page signals. Query Fit is calculated separately and compares term coverage, prominence and alignment between query intent and estimated page function.

4. Improvement plan

The report prioritizes fixes by impact and effort so SEO specialists, companies, agencies, content teams and developers can act quickly.

What actually matters for Google AI Overviews and AI Mode

Google states that no additional technical requirements or special optimization are required to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Core SEO fundamentals still matter: useful and trustworthy content, indexability, internal links, strong page experience and important information available in text.

There is no need for “AI-only” markup, secret files or artificial content patterns. Structured data can help describe entities and content types, but it should be relevant and consistent with what users can see. See Google's official guidance for AI features in Search.

Who the SEO AI Overview Analyzer is for

SEO specialists and consultantsFor an initial diagnosis of content, structure, query alignment, indexability, internal links and structured data.
Marketing agenciesTo turn technical analysis into understandable priorities for clients, copywriters and developers.
B2B companies and SMEsTo assess whether service pages, landing pages and commercial content clearly explain value, audience and user need.
Content managers and publishersTo check whether articles and guides cover intent and are easy to read, navigate and summarize.

What the tool can and cannot measure

The analyzer can evaluate what is observable on the page: structure, main content, robots and snippet directives, query alignment, contextual links, structured data and trust signals detectable in the markup.

It cannot independently confirm indexing, observe live SERPs, measure backlinks, domain authority, competitors, user behavior or actual citations in AI answers. These limitations are also included in the JSON export.

How to make a page more ready for AI-powered search

The goal is not to write “for AI”. It is to create a page that is more useful, clear and trustworthy. Version 3 therefore avoids shortcuts such as an “ideal keyword density”, mandatory word counts, automatic FAQs or treating schema as a requirement for AI visibility.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SEO AI Overview Analyzer?

It is a free tool that analyzes a public page and returns SEO Foundation, AI Search Readiness, Query Fit and an 80/20 improvement plan.

What is the difference between AI Search Readiness and Query Fit?

AI Search Readiness evaluates on-page quality independently from the query. Query Fit measures how well that specific page aligns with the entered query.

Does the score guarantee inclusion in AI Overviews?

No. Version 3 deliberately avoids presenting a score as a probability of inclusion. Real presence in AI Overviews, AI Mode or other AI systems requires external measurement.

Does Query Fit depend on the exact keyword?

No. Exact-match occurrences are shown only as a diagnostic signal. Query Fit focuses primarily on lexical coverage, prominence and intent alignment.

Can I analyze service pages, guides and home pages?

Yes. The report can be used for informational, commercial and local pages, home pages, landing pages and public blog articles.
